A picture can express a 1000 words - so moving pictures may do more than that. Of course, they could also invite more criticism, or more misunderstandings. Like claims that this looks like sinawali. Well, people do claim to see all sorts of shapes in cloud formations too...

Note: As I’ve mentioned on the blog in the announcement, these are off the cuff demos. Keep in mind that Piper is not about ‘technique’, it’s about ‘intent’. You don’t do ‘techniques’ in Piper. When the attitude is there and the intent is formed to do harm then the movements develop organically out of that. It’s an expression of an attitude and an intent, so view it as a different paradigm than standard Western and Asian blade fighting.

The first 2 clips are in .3gp format - in other words it’s designed to be viewed on a cell phone. Download it, unzip it and Bluetooth it onto your phone to view, or use Apple’s Quicktime or VLC Media Player software on your PC to view them instead. The rest are DivX 5.2 .AVI files.

For any questions please E-mail me, or talk to us on our Forum.
